Closing Agent, Retail Mortgage, South Bend, IN

Responsible for disclosing loan applications and preparing closing packages, by determining proper documentation and due diligence requirements. Ensures bank policies and procedures, and regulations are adhered to for proper documentation and perfection of the bank's lien prior to funding. Essential Requirements

Discloses real estate mortgage transactions by preparing accurate Loan Estimate figures and disclosure documents. Close real estate mortgage transactions by preparing accurate Closing Disclosure figures; closing documents and resolving post-closing audits. Interacts with customers, loan originators, real estate agents and vendors during course of transaction. Completes assigned compliance training related to the position. Understands all applicable laws and regulations that apply to the position and complies with the requirements. Non-Essential Functions

Performs all other duties as assigned. Experience/Skills

Three (3) years or more of related experience preferred. Knowledge of mortgage processing preferred. Ability to handle stressful situations with calmness and courtesy. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Maintain good records and file management skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks and frequent interruptions. Good PC skills--proficiency in Word and Excel essential, understanding of database software. Education

High School Diploma/GED required. Travel Requirements

Minimal or occasional travel as needed for meetings, projects, training, etc. Physical Demands
