Senior Logistician
- Position Description We have immediate hire openings for
Senior Logistician (Logistician III)
to support the U.S. Navy at Naval Surface Warfare Center Port Hueneme as part of a larger Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) team in Port Hueneme. Applicant must hold or be able to obtain an active DoD SECRET personnel security clearance. Responsibilities
Logisticians integrate the spectrum of the logistics processes within the operational, acquisition and wholesale environments. Logisticians are responsible for directing the integrated logistics process, developing support policies, procedures and systems, and providing implementation guidance. The Logistician prepares and implements directives to ensure effective logistics support and establishes and enforces standards to ensure that the assigned workforce is properly trained and equipped. It is the Logistician's duty to develop, initiate, integrate and manage all logistics actions associated with life cycle management of weapon systems, subsystems and equipment. Experience Requirements
5-7 years of professional experience, performing similar work Educational & Certification Requirements
Bachelors Degree, any field Preferred / Desired Qualifications, Skills And Experience
Experience: 10 or more years, experience working at NSWC Port Hueneme or another Navy location Specialized experience: Logistics DAWIA Level 3 certified or equivalent Travel Requirements
Travel should be limited, possibly 1-3 trips per year lasting 3-5 days per trip Limited travel to the continental United States (primarily east and west coasts) Possible overseas travel EOE/VEVRAA Federal Contractor
