Inbound Logistics Clerk
Are you highly organized and detail-oriented with experience in logistics or clerical support? We are hiring an Inbound Logistics Clerk for one of our clients located in Loris, SC. This is a full-time, 40 hour-per-week opportunity with competitive pay starting at $15.00 hourly. The Logistics Clerk plays a key role in ensuring the efficient flow of both inbound and outbound international shipments. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication with both internal teams and external partners. The ideal candidate will contribute to smooth logistics operations by managing shipment schedules, preparing documentation, and helping to resolve shipping issues. Inbound & Outbound Logistics Coordination: Monitor and adjust delivery schedules, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues. Coordinate with 3rd party vendors and with the warehouse to align on inbound container schedules. Provide shipment details to the coordinator as needed. Respond promptly to internal inquires about inbound shipment statuses. Shipping Documentation & Carrier Communication: Obtain and prepare rate quotes for international outbound shipments from Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) and Truckload carriers. Prepare and dispatch shipping documents, including Bills of Lading (BOLs) Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, and Labels. Communicate and collaborate with broker representatives to resolve shipment issues, such as delays, damages, shortages, or discrepancies. Ensure all outbound shipments meet documentation standards and customer expectations. Process Improvement & Compliance: Support logistics team in identifying process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Maintain compliance with import/export regulations and company procedures. Assist in documentation audits and other administrative tasks, as assigned. Key Requirements
HSD or equivalent required. Previous experience in logistics, supply chain operations, or administrative support is preferred. Familiarity with international shipping procedures and working with freight carriers is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines. Time management and organizational skills are essential for success in this role. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English, with the ability to clearly articulate ideas, respond to inquires professionally, and represent the executive team with discretion and poise. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word, is required. Experience with logistics or inventory management system is beneficial. A general understanding of administrative and clerical procedures related to import/export documentation is expected. Familiarity with customs regulations, compliance requirements, and international shipping practices is preferred. Physical Requirements: This position is primarily office-based with some interaction in a warehouse environment. It requires the ability to perform a range of physical tasks that support daily logistics and administrative functions. Ability to move through the office and meeting rooms. May be required to stand or walk intermittently throughout the day. Occasionally lift or move packages and documentation weighing up to 25 pounds. Frequent sitting at a computer workstation; occasional bending or reaching to access supplies or files. Adequate to complete data entry, read shipping documents, and communicate effectively. Ability to operate standard office equipment such as computers, printers, and copiers. Typical office environment with moderate noise levels which may vary during business activities.
