Business Development Associate
to join our dynamic deal team, focusing on buy-side M&A initiatives. In this role, youll represent leading private equity firms and strategic acquirers, driving high-impact outreach through cold-calling and targeted email campaigns to source and secure acquisition opportunities. Execute high-volume outbound strategies, including cold-calling and email campaigns, to engage potential acquisition targets and generate high-quality leads. Lead deal origination efforts by conducting market research, prospecting, and building a pipeline of opportunities for private equity and strategic buyers. Support end-to-end buy-side M&A processes, working directly with the client and Target. Build and maintain long-term relationships with private equity firms, investment banks, acquisition targets, industry influencers, and other key decision-makers. Leverage CRM tools to track progress, refine sourcing strategies, and develop compelling pitch materials. Stay ahead of market trends and sector-specific insights to inform origination strategies and contribute to strategic deal discussions. Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree Minimum one year of professional work experience, preferably in a client-facing or business development role. Exceptional communication skills that embody professionalism, with advanced phone skills for cold-calling, objection handling, and rapport building. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal skills, a results-driven mindset, and adaptability to thrive in a target-oriented setting. Must be located in the United States and based in one of the following markets: Nashville, TN; Dallas, TX; Minneapolis, MN; or Baltimore, MD Preferred Qualifications
Background in financial services or sales training. Proven success in sales, business development, or lead generation, with a track record of hitting targets. Knowledge of M&A processes (deal structuring, valuation, market dynamics). Proficiency in CRM tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and data analysis platforms.
