SIGN ON BONUS:

JOB TITLE:

Vascular Sonographer

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

The Vascular Sonographer is responsible for independently performing high-quality, noninvasive vascular ultrasound studies in accordance with established protocols and IAC Vascular Testing standards. This position plays a key role in the diagnosis and management of vascular conditions and contributes to the overall quality and efficiency of the vascular laboratory.

Gainesville, FL and/or Lake City, FL

POSITION STATUS:

Full-time, Part-time, PRN

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

Perform a variety of vascular ultrasound procedures, including but not limited to:

Carotid duplex Upper and lower extremity arterial and venous studies (including DVT and insufficiency exams) Ankle-brachial index (ABI) and segmental pressures Abdominal aortic and renal artery duplex Pre- and post-intervention vascular assessments

Acquire, analyze, and document all pertinent images and Doppler waveforms according to IAC-accredited protocols and physician expectations. Ensure accurate and complete entry of findings, measurements, and preliminary impressions into PACS and/or the electronic health record (EHR) system. Communicate effectively with patients and their representatives regarding exam preparation, procedure instructions, and follow-up. Assist in the onboarding and training of students and newly hired technologists. Ensure exam rooms are clean, organized, and fully stocked with necessary supplies and linens; promptly restock and prepare rooms between patients to support efficient workflow and maintain a safe, hygienic environment. Clean and maintain equipment according to established protocols; report any malfunctions or concerns to the Manager promptly. Actively support IAC re-accreditation efforts by ensuring accurate documentation, high-quality image acquisition and timely submission of required case studies and supporting materials. Perform additional duties as assigned, consistent with the scope and skill level of the position. EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION & EXPERIENCE :

Associate's degree or accredited Certificate in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, with a specialization in vascular technology. Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) through ARDMS or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) through CCI required. A minimum of two (2) years of experience performing a wide range of vascular studies in a clinical setting is preferred. Maintain BLS certification KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Proficient in performing noninvasive vascular ultrasound procedures and interpreting normal vs. abnormal findings. Strong knowledge of vascular anatomy, hemodynamics, and diagnostic criteria for disease. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients, peers, and providers. Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with industry standards and guidelines (SVU, IAC). Demonstrates accountability, reliability, and a proactive approach to responsibilities.

WORKING CONDITIONS Environment:

Clinical/medical office setting. Exposure to communicable diseases, biohazardous materials, and standard clinical risks. Physical Requirements:
