Bench Technician Opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced Bench Technician to assist with increased production at a manufacturing company in Coeur d'Alene, ID. This top-tier electronic facility in Kootenai County is looking for someone to join their team. If you excel in your field, this role offers the potential to become a permanent position. There is also significant opportunity for overtime on Fridays to meet production goals. Responsibilities for the Bench Technician - Develop and generate reports to improve the test yield of printed circuit assemblies. Determine root causes of circuit failures on printed circuit assemblies using standard troubleshooting techniques. Repair defects causing circuit failures by removing and replacing electronic components. Repair failed or defective printed circuit boards following IPC guidelines and acceptability standards. Ensure the acceptability of printed circuit boards and assemblies using IPC standards, company, and customer guidelines. Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing test groups to support production test processes and test equipment. Provide work leadership and technical assistance to lower-level employees as needed. Requirements for the Bench Technician - 2-3 years of experience as a bench technician or in technical support for electromechanical assembly. 2-3 years of experience in multi-level printed circuit board repair, including trace and pad repair techniques. Strong manual soldering skills, particularly with surface-mount technology. Ability to troubleshoot electronic assemblies to the component level. Proficient in using oscilloscopes, DVM, signal generators, and other commonly used test equipment and instruments. Strong mathematical skills. Ability to work from schematics, supplemented by written and oral instructions. Proficiency in MS Office programs, particularly Excel. Basic to intermediate understanding of surface-mount and plated-through-hole assembly processes. Seem like a good fit?
