As our HR Generalist, you'll be the go-to shipmate for all things people-related - from recruitment to compliance, employee engagement to performance management. You'll help keep our company culture strong, our team supported, and our processes running smoother than glassy water on a calm morning.
What You'll Be Doing Assist with all internal and external HR-related matters (your ship's wheel will spin a lot, but in the best way). Help chart the course for organizational guidelines and procedures. Recommend creative strategies to keep our crew motivated and engaged. Manage recruitment - from sourcing candidates to onboarding new hires. Ensure compliance with federal and state laws (no rogue waves here). Support employee safety, wellness, and development initiatives. Keep our crew informed with company-wide communications. Coordinate performance management and development plans. Oversee compensation and benefits administration. Maintain accurate employee records and HR reports. Stay on top of HR trends and best practices (we like our crew to be ahead of the tide). And of course - other duties that help keep our ship sailing smoothly. Requirements
What You Bring Aboard
Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Management, or related field. SHRM certification preferred. 3+ years of related HR experience. Strong knowledge of labor law, compliance, and HR best practices. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. High level of confidentiality - what happens in the captain's quarters stays in the captain's quarters.
