We are seeking an innovative and highly motivated AI/ML Engineer to join our growing R&D team. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and deploying intelligent algorithms and models to support cybersecurity tools, offensive/defensive capabilities, and decision-support systems.

This position offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects that address real-world cyber threats through advanced data science, automation, and adversarial modeling. Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Model Development:

Design and implement supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning models for threat detection, anomaly identification, malware classification, behavioral analytics, and other cybersecurity use cases. Data Engineering:

Collect, clean, preprocess, and analyze large and complex cybersecurity datasets (network traffic, logs, system events, etc.). Algorithm Evaluation:

Evaluate model performance using relevant metrics, iterate on model architecture, and optimize for precision, recall, F1, and latency. Research & Prototyping:

Stay abreast of cutting-edge AI/ML trends in cybersecurity; develop prototypes to demonstrate feasibility and impact of new ideas. Deployment:

Collaborate with software engineers to integrate models into production systems or R&D toolchains, ensuring scalability and security. Documentation:

Create detailed technical documentation, research reports, and presentation materials for both internal and external stakeholders, including government sponsors. Collaboration:

Work closely with cyber analysts, red/blue team operators, and software developers to align AI/ML solutions with mission needs. Required Qualifications

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or related field. 2+ years of experience

in applied AI/ML (or PhD with relevant research experience). Strong programming skills in

Python

(e.g., NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow). Experience working with real-world data sets, preferably in a cybersecurity, systems, or threat intelligence context. Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly). Understanding of basic cybersecurity concepts (e.g., malware, intrusion detection, MITRE ATT&CK framework). Preferred Qualifications

Active security clearance or eligibility to obtain one. Experience with adversarial machine learning or defensive AI. Familiarity with edge AI or embedded ML deployment. Experience working in or contributing to government-funded R&D programs (e.g., SBIR/STTR, DoD, DARPA). Knowledge of data privacy, ethical AI, or explainable AI (XAI). About Def-Logix, Inc.
