Title: AI Security Engineer (Only Onsite in Plano, TX) Duration: 12 Months Job Description: Our client is seeking a highly skilled and forward-thinking AI Security Engineer to secure their AI/ML systems and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in cybersecurity with a passion for artificial intelligence, and the ability to work cross-functionally to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of AI systems. Responsibilities: Design and implement security controls across AI/ML systems, including model training, inference, and data pipelines. Identify and mitigate AI-specific threats such as model inversion, data poisoning, adversarial attacks, and prompt injection. Collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, and DevOps teams to embed security throughout the AI/ML lifecycle. Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments for AI systems and algorithms. Monitor AI models for abnormal behavior or misuse. Secure APIs and inference endpoints for model access. Ensure AI workflows are compliant with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA). Develop and enforce AI security standards, policies, and best practices. Stay current with emerging research and threats in AI/ML security. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Machine Learning, or related field. 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 1 year dedicated to AI/ML system security. Strong understanding of ML workflows, model architectures, and data pipelines. Familiarity with adversarial ML, model extraction, and data leakage threats. Proficiency in Python and experience with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn. Knowledge of secure software development and DevSecOps principles. Preferred Skills & Certifications: Experience securing large language models (LLMs) and generative AI systems. Familiarity with AI governance, model explainability, and ethical AI concepts. Hands-on experience with AI security tools (e.g., IBM ART, Microsoft Counterfit). Relevant certifications, such as: Certified AI Security Specialist (CAISS) GIAC Machine Learning Security Engineer (GMSE) CISSP, OSCP, or CEH with AI/ML focus Seniority level
