The waste management industry is cutting edge, fast-paced, and endlessly complex. Rumpke Waste & Recycling is among the largest players in the industry and growing every day. Rumpke is looking for a Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) Administrator to support and maintain Rumpke's HRIS applications and modules and provide technical support to employees.

Responsibilities of Position

Manage the day-to-day administration of Rumpke's HRIS (UKG Pro) and associated modules, including Schoox Learning Management System (LMS)

perform routine system maintenance and test system updates

maintain and update records accurately, audit data for integrity, and perform data cleanup as necessary

manage employee security roles and resolve issues as necessary

establish and document system processes and procedures

ensure system compliance with data security and privacy requirements

maintain organizational structures through an understanding of directory, file structures, and systems

provide technical support to Rumpke employees, including troubleshooting system errors and resetting passwords

Create, maintain, and update complex reports in UKG Pro, Cognos Report Studio, Power BI, and Schoox LMS

Identify opportunities for and implement system enhancements

Serve as LMS superuser

upload, maintain, and update training content

manage course revisions and history

analyze data to gauge system usage/effectiveness and uncover trends in content being utilized

Document system standards, processes, and procedures

Develop and maintain user guides and technical training materials

Maintain knowledge of current technology as it applies to HRIS software and systems

Other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibility

This position will not manage employees

Skills & Abilities Needed for Position

Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft applications including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) required

Proficiency in UKG Pro HRIS, UKG Recruiting ATS, and Schoox LMS preferred

Troubleshooting systems issues

Creating, maintaining, updating, and distributing reports and technical documentation

Analyzing large sets of data

Managing system security access

Developing technical solutions to optimize system usage

Familiarity with virtual training course design and development

Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills

Familiarity with human resource policies and procedures to ensure the HRIS meets organizational needs and goals

Effective time management, problem-solving, and project management skills

Must be self-motivated and able to work both independently and across multidisciplinary teams

Proven ability to establish a high level of credibility quickly and to gain the trust and respect of key stakeholders and leaders

Ability to keep information confidential

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent interpersonal and technical support skills

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Experience & Knowledge Needed for Position

Minimum 2+ years experience in systems administration required

Previous HRIS, ATS, or LMS administration preferred

Bachelor's degree in IT systems, computer science, or related field is preferred

Education Bachelors of Relevant field (required)

Physical Requirements in a Regular Workday

Rarely lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling a max of 10 lbs

Continuously sitting in an office environment

Occasionally standing/walking in an office environment

Additional Working Conditions/Aspects

Ability to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays

Legally eligible to work in the United States

Valid driver's license (if applicable)

Must successfully complete pre-employment testing

Must be able to read and speak the English language
