Vice President of Finance
to lead both the
Accounting
and
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
functions. Key Responsibilities
Direct all accounting operations, ensuring robust financial reporting, adherence to internal controls, and alignment with applicable regulatory frameworks. Lead the end-to-end preparation and submission of financial reports, including quarterly and annual filings, in compliance with GAAP and SEC standards. Oversee monthly and annual close cycles, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across all financial disclosures. Establish and enforce accounting policies and internal controls to maintain compliance and enhance operational efficiency. Partner with departments including Legal, Finance, and Operations to resolve complex accounting matters and support cross-functional initiatives. Deliver strategic financial insights and recommendations to support corporate decision-making, capital allocation, and business expansion efforts. Maintain and enhance cost discipline through rigorous budgeting processes and financial oversight. Strong contract negotiation skills are essential. Manage relationships with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory agencies to ensure smooth audits and compliance with tax laws. Monitor changes in accounting and regulatory standards, evaluating their implications for the business and updating practices accordingly. Build and lead a high-performance finance team, fostering professional development and a culture of accountability and excellence. Perform other executive-level financial responsibilities as needed. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree and/or CPA designation strongly preferred. At least 15 years of progressive financial leadership experience, ideally in the
retail or consumer goods
sector. Deep knowledge of financial regulations and reporting standards, including GAAP, SOX, and PCAOB requirements. Familiarity with managing multi-brand or multi-channel business models is a plus. Experience in private equity-backed environments is highly desirable. Proficiency with business intelligence tools such as DOMO, Power BI, or Tableau. Proven leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; able to influence and engage across all organizational levels. Strong business acumen with the ability to extract insights from data and apply them to real-world strategy and operations. High attention to detail, integrity in financial reporting, and a hands-on approach to problem solving. Comfortable in high-growth, fast-paced settings and able to juggle multiple priorities with precision. Executive presence with strong FP&A capabilities and a focus on continuous process improvement.
