The Chicago-based organization accomplishes this by connecting and educating people through in-person and virtual events, delivering customer feedback to SAP, and advocating for its members. Position Overview We are seeking a talented Senior Designer to join our marketing team and lead the creative vision across all our communication channels. This role will be instrumental in maintaining and evolving our brand identity while creating compelling visual assets that engage our community and drive our mission forward. Our Values

Design high-quality creative assets across all marketing channels including LinkedIn, website, email campaigns, event materials, Canva, and digital platforms Maintain consistency with ASUG brand guidelines and visual standards across all touchpoints Develop and refine brand standards documentation to ensure cohesive brand expression Create templates and design systems that can be utilized across the organization Team Collaboration & Mentorship
Collaborate closely with and mentor a junior designer, providing guidance on projects and professional development Review and provide constructive feedback on junior designer's work to ensure quality and brand alignment Foster a collaborative creative environment that encourages innovation and growth Strategic Partnership
Partner with the Director of Marketing to translate marketing strategies into compelling visual communications Participate in campaign planning and creative brainstorming sessions Ensure all creative output aligns with marketing objectives and brand positioning Project Management
Manage multiple design projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards Coordinate with cross-functional teams including marketing, events, and communications Present creative concepts and rationale to stakeholders and incorporate feedback effectively Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field 5+ years of professional design experience, preferably in B2B or technology environments Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in digital design, brand development, and multi-channel campaigns Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant design tools Experience with social media design, particularly LinkedIn and professional platforms Strong understanding of brand management and visual identity systems Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the enterprise software or SAP ecosystem Proficiency in Canva Knowledge of video production, including post-production tools such as Adobe Premiere and After Effects Familiarity with marketing automation platforms and content management systems Experience mentoring or leading junior creative team members Understanding of accessibility standards in design Willing to travel up to 20% - on average, up to two times per year. Employee must be comfortable with airline travel as well as the physical demands of working/exhibiting event conferences Skills & Competencies
Excellent visual design skills with strong attention to detail Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a team environment Strong communication and presentation skills Creative problem-solving abilities Time management and organizational skills Adaptability to changing priorities and feedback Reporting Structure This position reports directly to the Director of Marketing and will work closely with the marketing team and other departments as needed.
