Job Title: Technical Project Manager
Job Description
We are seeking a Technical Project Manager to support Technical Program Managers in driving execution across complex hardware development efforts. This role involves assisting in the day-to-day execution of cross-functional hardware programs, focusing on tracking details, chasing down open items, and helping engineering teams maintain momentum. The position requires a proactive approach to project management within a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
Support a Staff Technical Program Manager in coordinating day-to-day execution of cross-functional hardware programs.
Utilize Jira to manage tasks, track status, and maintain visibility across multiple teams and workstreams.
Assist with the creation and change management of materials within PLM processes.
Track and follow up on engineering action items across multiple engineering disciplines.
Flexibly support New Product Introduction (NPI) efforts and coordinate with cross-functional partners such as supply chain and manufacturing.
Maintain weekly progress trackers, dashboards, and documentation to reflect the current state of the program.
Ensure high situational awareness of program status, blockers, and upcoming deliverables.
Proactively identify and escalate risks, delays, and cross-team dependencies.
Capture and circulate clear, actionable meeting notes and follow-ups.
Assist in coordinating major milestones including design reviews, integration builds, and test events.
Continuously improve tracking tools, workflows, and team coordination mechanisms.
Essential Skills
3-7 years of project management experience.
Strong knowledge of Jira from an administrative standpoint, including issue management and linking.
Experience in complex electro-mechanical manufacturing or similar environments.
Ability to handle ambiguity and assess blockers, involving the correct parties to maintain project momentum.
Experience with electrical or mechanical engineering, with a BS EE (or similar) or BS ME.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
PMP certification (nice to have)
Experience in software, firmware, hardware, test, validation, and NPI.
Excellent soft skills and the ability to work effectively in a small start-up environment.
Work Environment
The role requires a minimum of three days on site each week, with significant time spent on the floor working directly with the product. The environment is dynamic and requires adaptability and collaboration with various engineering teams.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Salem, Oregon.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.07 - $52.88/hr.
