Head Cashier

The job: As a Head Cashier, you are responsible for managing financial transactions and ensuring accurate billing for guests, which includes verifying charges, handling disputes, and conducting audits at the beginning and end of each shift. Your role is vital in creating a positive guest experience by addressing concerns and ensuring that all financial interactions contribute to memorable stays at our establishment. The starting rate: $22.112 hourly The day-to-day: Responsible for running Over Credit Limit Report, handle disputes on Guest Folios, receive and verify credit card authorization forms Perform the guest in house rate check and adjusts variances Verify correct charges and credits are posted to the corresponding guest folio Ensure cash and cash equivalents are audited and accounted for and balanced at the beginning and end of each work shift Compile Tax Exempt Guest information and file at the end of each month Audit employee cash lockers and validate amounts Work with Accounts Receivable to post transactions for groups and handle convention invoicing Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority The ideal candidate: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent 2+ years of prior relevant experience to include a combination of cash handling, hotel cashiering and/or front desk experience The perks & benefits: Wellness incentive programs to help you stay healthy physically and mentally Access to company hotel, food and beverage, retail, and entertainment discounts as well as discounts with company partners on things like travel, electronics, online shopping, and more Free meals in our employee dining room Free parking on and off shift Health & Income Protection benefits (for eligible employees) Professional and personal development through programs and networking opportunities as well as volunteer opportunities in the community
