Lead Cable Technician

Take the lead in building the backbone of the internet. We're seeking an experienced and hands-on Lead Cable Technician to oversee large-scale cabling projects inside one of the most advanced data centers in the country. What You'll Be Leading: Supervise and guide teams installing cable trays, pulling cable/fiber, and building server racks Interpret blueprints and ensure proper execution of infrastructure plans Perform and oversee punch-downs, terminations, and labeling of cables Ensure proper routing and support of cables using fish tape, J-hooks, D-rings, and other methods Install grounding systems and fire-stopping procedures Maintain high standards for safety, documentation, and quality control What You Bring: 35 years of hands-on experience in cabling, fiber optics, and infrastructure installation Strong knowledge of hand tools and construction practices Ability to read and follow blueprints and technical diagrams Leadership skills and experience managing or mentoring technicians Flexibility with hourswilling to work extended shifts (up to 1012 hours/day, 6 days/week if needed) Schedule: Standard shifts with potential for overtime based on project timelines Why This Role Rocks: Lead a high-impact team on a major data center project Work with cutting-edge infrastructure in a fast-paced environment Build career momentum toward roles in network engineering or data center operations Be part of a long-term, exclusive contract with a major tech client Location: Richmond, VA Inside a massive, state-of-the-art data center. Must be comfortable with heights and active construction zones. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00/hr.
