About Converge Marketing

Converge Marketing is not your average agency. We move fast, think big, and play to win. We are a 20-year old boutique performance marketing powerhouse on a fast track to expanding its impressive client portfolio through relentless performance innovation. With a roster that includes AT&T, Leaf Home, and Erie Home, Converge delivers measurable results across a wide range of industries through creative strategy, media expertise, and data-driven execution. Our team is fast-moving, fun, and fearless. We combine inventive thinking with relentless execution to win in a competitive digital landscape. From client partnerships to internal operations, every member of our high-energy team plays a critical role in driving results.

We are seeking a proactive professional who combines technical accounting expertise with strong business acumen. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-driven, and comfortable balancing accuracy with deadlines. Success in this role means consistently delivering clean and timely financial statements, identifying risks or discrepancies before they become issues, and translating financial data into meaningful insights that guide leadership decisions. A successful Senior Accountant at Converge takes ownership of processes, demonstrates a strong sense of accountability, and thrives in a collaborative environment where growth, learning, and adaptability are valued.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically strong Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. This role is responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and equipping leadership with actionable, data-driven insights. The Senior Accountant will take ownership of core accounting processes while also contributing to management reporting, scenario modeling, and process improvements that strengthen financial discipline across the agency.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can balance transactional accuracy with strategic thinking. Because Converge is a rapidly growing agency, the Senior Accountant will operate in a hands-on capacity—managing functions such as billing, payroll, reconciliations, and month-end close—while also stepping into higher-level responsibilities including budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis, and financial process optimization.

Success in this role means more than closing the books; it means helping the agency understand how and where financial performance is being generated, identifying areas of risk or opportunity, and delivering insights that directly inform leadership decisions. The Senior Accountant will play a visible and influential role in shaping the financial health of the organization, while also building professional experience that spans both accounting and strategic finance.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Accountant at Converge, you will be responsible for both the accuracy of our financial records and the insights they provide to leadership. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Month-End Close: Lead and support the month-end close process, including preparation of fixed asset rollforwards, lease calculation workbooks, prepaid expense reconciliations, and intangible asset schedules.
  • Working Capital Management: Monitor and reconcile accounts receivable and accounts payable, while analyzing and communicating the cash flow impact of changes in working capital.
  • Transaction Reconciliation: Reconcile credit card transactions and other company expenditures to ensure accuracy and compliance within the Sage Intacct financial system.
  • Revenue Analysis: Record and analyze revenue by project, client, and line of business. Ensure compliance with revenue recognition policies while providing actionable insights into company performance and profitability.
  • Management & Board Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reporting packages for management, the board of directors, and other stakeholders, ensuring clarity, transparency, and compliance with debt covenants.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and recommend process improvements that enhance efficiency, strengthen controls, and improve the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.

Qualifications & Success Profile

We’re looking for a motivated accounting professional who thrives in a growth environment and can balance precision with strategic thinking.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CPA track strongly preferred).
  • 3–5+ years of accounting experience in public or private practice, ideally with exposure to small, high-growth, or dynamic businesses.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting systems; Sage Intacct experience highly preferred (experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar a plus).
  • Advanced Excel skills for financial analysis, modeling, and reporting.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to distill complex financial data into clear insights for non-financial stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

What success looks like:

  • Delivering clean, accurate month-end closes with no material surprises.
  • Identifying risks, discrepancies, or opportunities before they impact reporting.
  • Consistently producing financial insights that help leadership make better decisions.
  • Acting as a reliable partner to both Finance and cross-functional teams, balancing day-to-day accuracy with a forward-looking mindset.

At Converge, we value our people as much as the work we do. Joining our team means access to meaningful benefits, opportunities for growth, and a culture that thrives on collaboration and innovation.

Compensation & Rewards: Competitive salary with performance-based incentives that recognize and reward your contributions.

Comprehensive Benefits: Health, dental, and vision coverage to support your well-being.

Flexibility & Balance: Unlimited paid time off and company holidays, along with a hybrid work schedule (two days per week in our Manhattan office).

Professional Growth: Exposure to corporate accounting, financial reporting, and strategic finance, offering development opportunities that go beyond a traditional accounting role.

Impact & Collaboration: A supportive, growth-focused environment where your work directly influences financial reporting, strategic planning, and leadership decision-making.
