Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Estimator/Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating and project management, with a proven ability to oversee the estimation process from inception to completion. This role requires excellent negotiation skills, a deep understanding of cost control, and the ability to manage contracts effectively. The Estimator will play a critical role in ensuring that our projects are accurately estimated and that we remain competitive in the marketplace. Projects will range from $50K to $3.5 Million depending on current backlog.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage all estimating, providing guidance and support throughout the estimation process. Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects. Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate pricing. Conduct thorough reviews of project plans, specifications, and contracts to identify potential risks and opportunities. Implement cost control measures to ensure projects remain within budget while maintaining quality standards. Negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable terms for the company. Monitor market trends and adjust estimates accordingly to maintain competitiveness in pricing strategies. Requirements
Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction processes and site experience. Proficiency in estimation software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid is highly desirable. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with subcontractors and suppliers. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in pricing. Knowledge of contracts, cost control practices, and project management principles is essential. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. Experience with Service Titan software is a plus.
