Production Assembler
Location: Saco Area Full-Time | Non-Exempt Department: Production
Pay: $16.00 We are seeking a
Production Assembler
to join our manufacturing team. This role involves light production and assembly of wire cutters, pliers, and other hand tools. If you take pride in precision work and want to contribute to the creation of high-quality tools, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
Operate rotary grinding machines (e.g., Swisher), with attention to quality gauging. Perform pre-set machining tasks using Bridgeport millers and drill presses. Round, de-burr, and tip various components using grinders and belt sanders. Adjust and rivet blade assemblies for optimal cutting and pivoting action. Position and remove parts in punch press die areas. Drill and ream parts using jigs. Assemble springs and grips, inspect finished tools, and package them. Maintain consistent quality using gauges and follow verbal, written, and graphic instructions. Assist with general upkeep such as cleaning and organizing work areas.
Education/Experience:
High School diploma or GED helpful, but not required. Prior manufacturing or production experience is a plus.
Skills:
Ability to read written instructions and follow verbal directions. Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide). Good manual dexterity, hand/eye coordination, and attention to detail. Comfortable performing repetitive motions and lifting up to 25 lbs.
Typical production floor setting. Requires both sitting and standing for extended periods. Involves repetitive hand and wrist movements. Use of protective equipment as needed.
