Job Description Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated small to mid size Construction Machinery Mechanic to join our team in Bloomington, IL. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. You will interact with customers resolve mechanical issues. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various types of small to mid size equipment. Diagnose mechanical issues and troubleshoot problems effectively. General service work 25% of the time. Conduct inspections to ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently. Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed. Qualifications and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in mechanics is a plus. Proven experience as an equipment mechanic or in a similar role. Previous auto, deisel, hydraulic and electrical experience is desirable. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team. You should be proficient in: Construction Equipment Maintenance Heavy Equipment Repair Equipment Troubleshooting Mechanical Troubleshooting Skills Hydraulics Experience Diesel Engine Systems Electrical Troubleshooting Automotive Repair Engine Repair Machines & technologies you'll use: Diesel engine Salary info: $22 - $30 / hr
