Overview We are seeking an experienced
RN Manager of Labor and Delivery
to lead a busy L&D department in Davie, FL. This leadership role oversees approximately 27 FTEs and supports up to 1,500 births annually, along with a 20-bed postpartum unit and newborn nursery. This is a high-impact position ideal for nurse leaders who thrive in obstetrics and maternal-child services. Responsibilities Direct, plan, and evaluate operations for Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn Nursery.
Ensure compliance with state, Joint Commission, CMS, and AHCA regulations.
Manage staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and departmental performance.
Collaborate with physicians, staff, and administration to drive patient safety and outcomes.
Recruit, mentor, and develop nursing staff while fostering a culture of teamwork.
Oversee patient experience, service excellence, and quality initiatives within Women’s Services.
Qualifications
Required: Active Florida RN license or Compact license.
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
Current BLS certification (or within 30 days of hire).
Current ACLS certification (or within 30 days of hire).
Current NRP certification (or within 90 days of hire).
Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery management experience.
Preferred: BSN or higher degree in Nursing.
STABLE certification (within 60 months).
Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring (within 60 months).
