WORK 4 10-HOUR DAYS!! Provide quality distribution services for our paper manufacturing team by: Coordinating the methods of shipments, and prepares bills of lading, invoices, and other associated shipping documents. Computing cost of merchandise, shipping fees, and other charges, and bills customer through means of shipment confirmation by use of computer system software. Determining best packing method for each type of shipment. Receiving and unloading/loading shipments. Palletizing items on skid. Weighing packages and determining postage charges if applicable and affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons. Unpacking and examining incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages and corresponds with shipper and purchasing department to rectify damages and shortages. Routing delivery items to proper departments. Operating a forklift truck, clamp truck, wave or hand truck to move shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area. Picking product for shipment by use of an order pick slip. Maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer experience is required. Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, Email. Database experience, CSI preferred. Order processing system experience preferred. Forklift certified. Clamp truck experience, preferred. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with an ever-changing number of variables related to receipt and shipment of goods.
