Wabanaki traditions, language, and culture guide our approach and describe the ways we live in harmony with each other and the land we collectively share. Services are available to community members living on and off-reservation across the State of Maine.

Position Summary: Director is responsible for operational oversite and program development of substance use treatment and support campus located in Millinocket, Maine. This campus includes the Healing Lodge, the Family and Friends Connection Center, and local recovery homes. This is a key leadership position and requires compassionate services in an environment committed to Native American culture and family orientated programming while supporting learning and growth alongside a dedicated team having a positive impact on patient experience. This is full time, salaried position to include occasional evenings and weekends. Some travel is required.

Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the outpatient recovery and mental health practice, ensuring smooth functioning and optimal utilization of resources. Supervise and manage all practice staff (excluding medical providers), including hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions when necessary. Develop and implement effective workplace procedures and ensure policies and best practices adhere to industry standards and government regulations (including HIPAA and OSHA). Manage the practice's finances, including budgeting, billing, accounts receivable, and coordinating with providers regarding insurance reimbursements. Serve as Project Director on key grants, including the USDA ERHC grant. Coordinate with healthcare providers and staff to deliver high-quality patient care and ensure patients receive a safe and supportive environment for medically supervised withdrawal. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, and standards, and monitor and track patient progress in treatment to ensure alignment with organizational and regulatory goals. Interact with patients, address complaints and concerns, and ensure their satisfaction with the services provided. Manage patient records and IT systems, monitor inventory, and organize for resupply of medications and equipment. Promotes continuous improvement in methods of delivery of treatment and services to ensuring adherence to and compliance with contracts, regulations and licensing requirements. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Required: Bachelors degree in business administration, Health Care

Administration/Management,

Public Health, Nursing, Behavioral Health, Social Work, or other Health Care Management related field Five (5) years of administrative experience in the management and supervision of various departments within a behavioral health or other health care facility Experience working in Tribal Communities preferred
