Job Title: CNC Machine Operator FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
We are hiring for CNC Machine operators to join our fast growing team. Current openings are on 2nd and 3rd shifts, so if you are a night owl, come join our team!
Job Summary MMG machine operators produce a variety of precision metal parts primarily from Aluminum, using computer numerically-controlled (CNC) machine tools such as Vertical and Horizontal Milling Machines as well as Conventional, Multi-Op and Swiss Style Lathes.
Key Responsibilities Review blueprints and/or written specifications for a job Write programs and apply machine tool math Understand and monitor the feed rate and speed of machine Set-up controls and make the cuts to make machined parts Ensure machine is working properly through standard preventative maintenance procedures and to make certain machine is properly feeding, cutting, cooling and lubricating part while in operation Utilize specialized inspection tools to check tolerances Understand and maintain QC procedures Work within a visual Lean Manufacturing Environment/System; maintain as clean and safe work environment Understand and follow all ISO procedures Must follow procedures and execute tasks assigned by Team Leader Must comply with ALL Company code of conduct, safety and procedural rules and regulations
Required Qualifications A High School Diploma or GED Preferred Tasks require standing and walking 100% of the time; lifting, reaching, and repetitive motion Tasks require use of hand tools and power tools Tasks require clear close vision for inspection of parts Tasks require lifting up to 50 pounds. Must work in a safe and reliable manner. Must be able to work as a team player
Physical and Environmental Conditions Ability to stand for long periods of time Ability to stand, sit, bend and kneel without difficulty Ability to repeatedly lift/pull/push 50lbs Exposure to loud noises Working in the presence of fork trucks and other manufacturing machinery Must be able to lift 50 pounds independently
