Director of Marketing and Sales Operations Position Overview We are seeking a business-minded, data-driven, and customer-focused individual to join our Marketing team as the

Category Management & Insights Analyst . This highly collaborative role will be responsible for building, owning, and advancing the organization's Category Management capabilities, with a focus on turning syndicated data into compelling insights that drive strategic conversations with our retail and foodservice customers. As the company's internal expert on in-store bakery category trends, shopper behavior, and market dynamics, this individual will work closely with Sales, Marketing, Revenue Growth, and Forecasting teams to translate complex data into actionable strategies. In addition to managing syndicated data sources and internal reporting tools, they will help shape the way our organization leverages data to inform pricing, promotion, assortment, and customer development initiatives. This position is

on-site , with one day of remote flexibility per week. Key Responsibilities 1. Category Storytelling & Market Insights (35%) Act as the internal expert on bakery category dynamics, using syndicated data (primarily NielsenIQ) to uncover trends and opportunity areas within in-store bakeries Develop compelling PowerPoint decks that showcase category trends, market gaps, and promotional strategies for use in retailer-facing presentations Tailor insights to reflect what’s happening nationally, regionally, and within specific banners or store formats Partner closely with Sales and Marketing to position the company as a trusted advisor to retail customers in the bakery category Collaborate on sku assortment analytics, store set/shelf strategies & competitive in store assessments to inform optimal product placement & merchandising support Contribute to cross functional new product planning to identify opportunities, innovation gaps and concept testing with Marketing and R&D 2. Ad Hoc Reporting & Cross-Functional Support (35%) Serve as the primary data partner to internal stakeholders across Sales Operations, Revenue Management, Forecasting, and Leadership Support the Forecasting team with data uploads and trend-based analysis for demand planning Support Revenue & Growth Management with trade spend evaluations, pricing analysis, and custom-built reports or system tools Assist Sales Operations with gap-matrix tracking, trend analysis, and opportunity reporting Partner with Senior Leadership to build reports for the annual sales budget, monthly executive sales performance reviews, incentive tracking, and special projects Assist Sales & Marketing in defining and tracking program performance metrics - retailer and competitive promotional effectiveness, marketing program ROI, plan for Seasonal programming & inform promotional calendars 3. Continuous Improvement & Data Capability Building (15%) Lead efforts to automate and scale internal data reporting practices through better tools, templates, and processes Build dashboards, scorecards, and reporting formats for recurring use across functional areas Evaluate and support onboarding of new data sources or platforms to expand analytic capabilities Act as a thought leader in elevating the organization’s use of data to support more proactive, strategic decisions 4. G2/SDS System Ownership & Data Management (15%) Serve as product owner of the G2/SDS sales reporting platform used for monthly performance reviews and territory tracking Manage monthly data uploads from the JDE ERP system and integrate spin data from redistribution partners Maintain accuracy of sales hierarchies, product classifications, and customer assignments within the G2 system Troubleshoot system discrepancies and serve as liaison between platform and internal teams Preferred Qualifications 3 years of experience in category management, sales reporting, business intelligence, or syndicated data analysis Hands-on experience with NielsenIQ, Circana/IRI, or similar syndicated data platforms Advanced Excel skills required; PowerPoint proficiency essential Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or SQL is a plus but not required Strong attention to detail with an ability to detect data anomalies and ask critical questions Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Analytics, Economics, or a related field preferred Key Attributes for Success Curious Mindset:
