$125,000–$150,000/year + quarterly bonuses. About the Opportunity We’re hiring on behalf of ADE Construction Consultants for a high-impact, high-visibility Commercial Estimating Operations Manager with a twist—this isn’t a back-room takeoff job. You’ll wear multiple hats: lead cost estimator, operations coordinator, and client-facing pro. If you’re a seasoned estimator who can confidently interact with clients, guide estimate schedules, and manage both in-house and outsourced contributors, we want to hear from you. About the Role This is a leadership position with real teeth. You’ll not only run estimates—you’ll own the client relationship, set internal workflows, and play a key part in strategic growth. You need to understand construction deeply (K-12, university, multifamily buildings, parks, offices, etc.) and enjoy collaborating with architects and GCs. It’s less about managing jobs in the field and more about being the anchor for estimating operations that clients trust. Schedule Monday to Friday, In-Office (East Atlanta) What You’ll Do Estimating Oversight Manage and coordinate all internal and external estimating efforts Conduct detailed blueprint takeoffs using On-Screen Takeoff and Bluebeam Create accurate estimates across multiple divisions: architectural, utilities, HVAC, etc. Reconcile estimates with architect, owner, and CM in multi-party Zoom meetings Own the estimate—know it, defend it, and explain it clearly and confidently Client & Team Operations Build long-term relationships with architecture firms and project owners by providing reliable estimating guidance and support throughout the planning and ownership phases Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, especially during reconciliation meetings Set estimate schedules and assign work to project managers, internal staff and outsourced contributors Organize scope division and plan submission timelines Coach and support a small but growing team of estimators What You Bring 10+ years of construction estimating experience (commercial, institutional preferred) Field experience (e.g., foreman, superintendent, or GC-side roles) is highly valued Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff Strong client-facing communication—calm, clear, persuasive under pressure Ability to defend estimates and negotiate outcomes in a professional setting Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and people skills in equal measure Based on the east side of Atlanta, or deeply rooted locally Bonus: Experience working directly with architects or as a cost consultant Prior exposure to reconciliation meetings involving multiple stakeholder estimates Engineering background or architectural background, or former project manager for a general contractor Perks & Benefits Competitive salary: $125,000–$150,000/year Quarterly performance bonuses W-2 employment Opportunity to shape the company’s future and transition into a key leadership role This role is more than just estimating—it’s about owning the process and leading the charge.
