Internship Opportunity: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Social Work or Counseling Student

We offer a supportive and dynamic learning environment for students looking to deepen their knowledge and practical skills in behavioral health and recovery services.

Position Overview: We are seeking highly motivated Master’s-level students currently enrolled in Social Work (MSW) or Counseling programs for internship opportunities. We welcome both foundation and advanced-year MSW interns, as well as Counseling students completing their practicum or internship requirements. Interns will work in various capacities across the facility, gaining hands-on experience with clinical services, client support, and administrative operations in a substance use disorder (SUD) treatment environment.

Intern Responsibilities May Include:

Clinical and Client-Facing Duties: Assisting with intake, assessment, and individualized treatment planning Facilitating or co-facilitating psychoeducational and therapeutic groups Providing support during individual counseling and case management sessions Participating in clinical supervision and team collaboration Supporting discharge planning and referral coordination

Administrative and Program Support Duties: Assisting with documentation, scheduling, and data entry Supporting client records management and quality assurance practices Participating in audits, compliance monitoring, or special projects Assisting with program development, community outreach, and resource building Learning about regulatory and billing processes relevant to behavioral health

Qualifications: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s-level Social Work or Counseling program Eligible for foundation, advanced-year, practicum, or internship placement Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Interest in working with clients experiencing substance use and co-occurring disorders Professionalism, cultural humility, and commitment to trauma-informed care Ability to meet onboarding and background check requirements
