Construction Project Controls Manager (Los Angeles)

to join our team. We deliver fully integrated Program management solutions to both public and private sector clients, including serving as the prime contractor for several public sector clients.

About the Role The

Construction Project Controls Manager

will support the Terminal Development Improvement Program (TDIP) at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), overseeing major capital improvement projects within the Central Terminal Area. These projects include terminal renovations, wayfinding, landscaping, and large-scale infrastructure upgrades. Reporting to the TDIP Program Controls Lead, the Construction Project Controls Manager ensures

contractual, schedule, and financial compliance

across assigned projects while leading project-level controls staff. This is an opportunity to play a key leadership role in one of the nation’s most significant airport capital improvement programs. The selected candidate will directly impact the delivery of projects shaping the future of LAX, collaborating with design, construction, and LAWA stakeholders in a high-profile environment. *Salary Range: $225K/Year-$235K/Year - Dependent on Candidate's Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

Lead project cost and schedule forecasting, risk analysis, and compliance reporting. Ensure adherence to LAWA and TDIP governance processes, contracts, and procedures. Create, audit, and enforce contract management compliance processes. Manage governance deliverables, including CIP forms, Steering/BOAC preparation, and monthly reports. Host monthly reporting sessions with Project Managers. Oversee resource and staffing plans, organizational charts, and recruitment coordination. Provide guidance to project controls teams to maintain compliance and consistency. Manage budgets, schedules, change processes (CAB), risks, and financial summaries. Support internal/external audits and maintain accurate PMIS records (PMWeb).

Required Qualifications

20+ years of progressive experience in

construction project controls

, ideally on large-scale aviation or infrastructure programs. Proven track record managing

projects valued over $500 million . Strong background in

progressive design-build, design-bid-build, and CMAR delivery methods . Experience leading project controls teams on major construction programs. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, and Project Management Information Systems (PMIS). Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Bachelor’s degree in

Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business, Aviation, or related field

(Master’s preferred). Professional certifications (LEED, PMP, PE, AICP, PMI-SP, AAAE, etc.) a plus.
