Position Summary: We are seeking a passionate and strategic Manager of Sustainability to lead and implement our organization’s environmental, social responsibility, and governance initiatives. This role is responsible for developing sustainability strategies and driving programs that reduce our environmental footprint while enhancing our social impact. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, take initiative without needing close supervision, and consistently deliver high-quality work.

Requirements:

Key Job Responsibilities: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainable practices into all areas of the business including commercial, operations, supply chain, and human resources. Engage stakeholders, including employees, customers, suppliers, and community partners, to promote sustainability practices. Monitor and report on environmental performance metrics (e.g., carbon emissions and footprints, energy use, waste reduction). Identify and evaluate opportunities for sustainable materials, energy efficiency, waste reduction, and resource conservation. Manage SBTi target (both near-term reduction targets and long-term net-zero target) validation and related reduction program. Develop and implement sustainability strategies specific to product lifecycle, including sourcing, production, distribution, and end-of-life. Enhance recycling practices including the expansion of materials to be recycled and increasing customer awareness and action. Manage sustainability certifications and submissions (e.g., EcoVadis, B Corp, CDP, ISO 14001, etc). Prepare and present sustainability reports and recommendations to board of directors and senior leadership. Lead sustainability reporting efforts (e.g., Annual Sustainability Report – including GRI/SASB, and UN SDG). Stay current on environmental regulations and ensure compliance with local, national, and international laws ______________________________________________________________________ Education, Skills and Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred). 5+ years of experience in sustainability, environmental management, or corporate social responsibility. Strong knowledge of sustainability frameworks, reporting standards, and regulatory requirements. Excellent project management, analytical, and communication skills. Experience with data analysis tools and sustainability software is a plus. Passion for environmental stewardship and social impact. Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of projects from start to finish. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail Preferred Certifications: Sustainability Excellence Professional (SEP) LEED Accredited Professional Certified Sustainability Professional (CSR-P) GRI Professional – Global Reporting Initiative Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel as needed for customer engagements, conferences, industry events, NewAge locations on an as needed basis.
