Head of Junior Tennis/Assistant Racquets Professional The Head of Junior Tennis/ Assistant Racquets Professional plays a crucial role in enhancing the overall tennis experience for members and guests at the Club. This position involves providing high-quality instruction, organizing racquets events, and maintaining a welcoming environment for players of all skill levels. The role will work closely with the Head Tennis Professional to develop and implement training programs that cater to the needs of our members. Additionally, this role will lead all aspects of junior tennis, pickleball and platform. Ultimately, the Assistant Racquets Professional contributes to the growth of the racquets community. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Playing ability minimum is 4.5 USTA Certification from a recognized tennis association or organization. Previous experience in tennis instruction or coaching. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in organizing tennis events or tournaments. First Aid and CPR certification. Responsibilities: Assist in the planning and execution of tennis clinics, lessons, and tournaments. Provide individual and group instruction to players of varying skill levels. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the tennis courts and surrounding areas. Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all members and guests. Collaborate with the Head Tennis Professional to develop training programs and promotional events. Other duties as assigned by head professional or Director. Skills: The required skills for this position include strong communication and interpersonal abilities, which are essential for effectively instructing players and fostering a welcoming environment. Organizational skills are vital for planning events and managing daily operations at the tennis facility. A solid understanding of tennis techniques and strategies will enable the Assistant Professional to provide valuable feedback and guidance to players. Preferred skills, such as event planning experience, will enhance the ability to create engaging and successful tournaments. Overall, a combination of technical knowledge and customer service skills will ensure a positive experience for all participants.
