ABOUT THE ROLE

The Senior Creative is responsible for leading creative production and design across consumer-facing platforms, thereby enhancing the High Museum of Art's standing as a 21st-century museum and design icon in the city of Atlanta. As a key contributor to shaping and maintaining the Museum's brand and visual identity, the Senior Creative will work as part of the Communications and Marketing team while collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify needs and produce visually compelling and well-designed assets. This role requires a creative leader with a strong understanding of both traditional and digital advertising landscapes.

Salary: $85,000.00

WORK SCHEDULE:

Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with occasional evening and weekends required as needed

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Creative Strategy & Execution (40%) Define and guide the artistic direction of the High Museum, ensuring a cohesive and compelling visual identity across all consumer-facing platforms and initiatives. Create innovative campaigns and design executions that stand out in the marketplace and embrace cultural relevance, while reinforcing connection to the museum's mission. Conceive and design of a wide range of impactful visuals and effective campaigns across various platforms, from advertising to member magazine to sponsorship materials. Brand Management (30%) Serve as the chief steward of the museum's brand, ensuring that all creative materials adhere to the museum's brand guidelines and reflect its artistic vision, maintaining consistency across all communication channels. Spearhead rollout of new brand identity, integrating visual design and verbal facility with the museum's audience engagement strategies. Regularly conduct cross-departmental audits to ensure brand guidelines are being met and develop templates to facilitate adherence from various stakeholders. Team Leadership (15%)

Mentor and support junior creative team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment. Provide guidance and constructive feedback to team members, helping them achieve their individual and collective goals. Collaborate cross-functionally with Exhibition Design to ensure seamless integration, integrated house style and united aesthetic vision. Project Oversight (15%)

Lead and manage the team and workflow of the Creative Services department. Establish and maintain standards of creative excellence and timeliness, working collaboratively with all stakeholders to achieve goals. WHAT WILL WE EXPECT OF YOU:

Minimum ten years of work experience in creative management and graphic design Supervisory experience Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education Degree in graphic design, fine arts, or related area of study - preferred but not required Thorough understanding of the creative process Budget management experience Photography experience - preferred but not required UX/UI experience/understanding - preferred but not required Art or Art History background or museum background - preferred but not required Communication & Technical Skills

Strong oral and written communications skills (must-have) Strong presentation skills and ability to articulate ideas and design rationale clearly Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Strong understanding of brand systems Mathematical Skills

Ability to compute rates and percentages and to present information in report form, prepare and maintain budget PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
