The posted compensation range of $17.24 - $24.35/hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law. We are offering up to a $1,500 sign-on bonus to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements. Responsibilities
Check-in with the outgoing CNA at the beginning of your shift to get a report on your patients. Conduct hourly rounds on patients, checking vitals, maintaining whiteboard information, and assisting with care as needed. Assist patients with ambulation as necessary. Assist patients with hygiene needs. Help the bedside nurse with tube insertions such as an NG tube, rectal tube, or catheter. Help the bedside nurse with any wound checks or dressing changes. Change bed linens, check patients' weight, and other tasks as assigned each day. Qualifications
Must be at least 16 years of age. Successful completion of the 75-hour state-approved Nursing Assistant course. Active Nurse Aide (CNA) license in good standing in Nebraska. Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association. At CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center - Bergan Mercy, our focus is patient-centered care. Our level I trauma center and academic medical center campus is designed to heal the body, mind, and spirit of every person in a more comfortable, less stressful hospital environment. Our full range of medical services includes trauma services, heart and vascular care, emergency services, surgery, maternity, cancer care, and diagnostic imaging. Unless directed by a Collective Bargaining Agreement, applications for this position will be considered on a rolling basis.
