We are seeking an experienced
Mechanical CAD Designer to join our team in Waxahachie, TX. In this role, you will transform engineering concepts into precise
2D and 3D CAD designs
that support product development, fabrication, and production. You will collaborate with engineers, manufacturing teams, and other departments to ensure designs meet performance, safety, and manufacturability standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for a CAD professional with a strong mechanical background, particularly in
HVACR equipment, electromechanical systems, piping, sheet metal, or wiring .
Key Responsibilities
Create accurate
2D and 3D CAD drawings, assemblies, wiring diagrams, and models
from engineering sketches and input. Use
CAD software (Inventor, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, etc.)
to design mechanical components and assemblies. Develop and maintain
fabrication documentation, submittals, and production-ready drawings . Ensure compliance with CAD standards and manage
revision control (ECN) , BOMs, and CAD libraries. Participate in
design reviews , incorporating feedback to improve manufacturability, efficiency, and performance. Support cross-functional teams to integrate complex assemblies into final product designs. Qualifications
Proficient in CAD software ( Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, or similar ). Strong
spatial reasoning, geometry skills, and mechanical drawing comprehension . Knowledge of
GD&T standards, revision control, and ECN processes . Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Associate's degree or higher
in CAD, Engineering, Architecture, Mathematics, Physics, or Engineering Technology. Experience with
HVACR systems, electromechanical equipment, piping, sheet metal, or wiring
preferred. Preferred Experience
Previous experience with
HVACR OEMs
or in a
manufacturing environment . Ability to manage
complex assemblies, tolerance calculations, and cross-functional design integration .
