Mechanical CAD Designer - HVACR Equipment

Overview Experienced Mechanical CAD Designer to convert engineering concepts into precise 2D/3D designs, collaborating across departments to support mechanical product development, drawings, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Translate sketches, notes, and engineering input into detailed CAD drawings (2D/3D), assemblies, wiring diagrams, etc. Use CAD tools (e.g., Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, AutoCAD) to build models of mechanical components. Create and maintain fabrication documentation, submittals, and production-level drawings. Ensure compliance with CAD standards, manage revision control (ECN), and maintain BOM and CAD libraries. Engage in design reviews, iterate based on feedback, and enhance designs for manufacturability and performance. Qualifications

Proficient in CAD software (Inventor, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, etc.). Strong spatial reasoning, geometry skills, technical drawing acumen, and mechanical comprehension. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Experience in HVACR, electromechanical systems, piping, sheet metal, wiring-preferred. Familiarity with GD&T standards, revision control, and ECN processes. CAD Associate's Degree, Engineer, Architecture, Mathematics, Physics, or Engineering Technology degree. Preferred Background

Experience at HVACR OEMs or similar manufacturing environments. Ability to manage complex assemblies, tolerance calculations, and cross-functional design integration.
