Training will take place in the office for at least the first two weeks. Based on manager approval and eligibility requirements, you may telework up to 3 days/week. Board Secretary positions may require that you be in the office and that you work outside of the normal office hours. This position is with the Utah Department of Commerce, Division of Professional Licensing (DOPL). In this position, you will be responsible for assigned tasks primarily related to mental health professions such as Social Work, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, and Psychology. Principal duties include: Team lead for application processing Organizing board meetings Preparing board minutes Providing customer service: sending correspondence, answering questions, assisting with filling out forms and applications Locating and assembling records Researching Maintaining calendars Coordinating appointments Assisting in the training of new employees Preparing and processing travel arrangements Scanning documents The ideal candidate will be: Organized Decisive Able to communicate well Adaptable Able to work and make decisions independently Minimum qualifications include: 1+ years of customer service experience. 1+ years of administrative or office support experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, or the Google equivalents (Google Docs and Google Sheets). Preferences may be given to applicants with the following: Experience as an administrative or executive assistant. Experience with laws, rules, regulations, and/or statutes. Experience with state government policies and regulations. Experience working in the mental health field.
