Job Title: Accounting Technician II

Are you looking for an opportunity to grow and expand your accounting skills? The Department of Workforce Services (DWS) is looking for a detail-oriented person to fill an Accounting Technician II position within the Administrative Services Division (ASD). This is a working level job. Under general supervision, incumbents independently prepare and process a variety of accounting documents and transactions, maintain accounts and other related accounting tasks that may include: Preparing and processing a variety of accounting documents and transactions. Maintaining accounts. Supporting professional staff, such as accountants, budget officers, auditors, processing services managers, collections managers and others. Complying with procurement policies. Reviewing documents for completeness and accuracy. Performing adjustments to data and accounts. Preparing reports. Creating, filing and retrieving files. The model candidate for this position is someone who has: Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word in a work environment. Accounting Experience. Attention to Detail. Critical Thinking skills.
