Accounting Assistant/Admin
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant/Admin to join our team on a contract basis in Waterville, Maine. This role offers an excellent opportunity to manage processes and contribute to the smooth operation of the company. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles. Responsibilities: Process accounts payable transactions, ensuring invoices are accurately coded and payments are timely. Handle accounts receivable tasks, including preparing and recording customer invoices and tracking payments. Perform regular bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records. Administrative tasks, front desk duties, greeting guests and phones Requirements: Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software. Strong understanding of bank reconciliation procedures. Ability to accurately code invoices and maintain organized financial records. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and teamwork abilities. Knowledge of general accounting principles and practices. Associate degree in accounting or related field preferred.
