The Records and Reports Specialist for Teaching and Learning will perform various bookkeeping duties, using good judgment in exercising those procedures. Primary duties include assisting the Fine Arts department in arranging and paying for student travel, compiling reports, and ensuring all financial processes relative to department invoice billing and payment, staff reimbursements and student travel, supply and equipment purchases, and equipment repairs are paid in a timely manner, according to district guidelines and procedures.
The Records and Reports Specialist for Teaching and Learning will develop and maintain a database for financial record keeping, process all budget amendments and transfers, assist in budget development, and perform related financial accounting functions and other duties as assigned by the Senior Director for Teaching and Learning.

Responsibilities:
Maintain a filing and management system for the department's financial records and curriculum documents. Collect and compile data and information and complete reports as required. Maintain records of expenditures and budgets. Proofread and edit completed reports to ascertain accuracy of data. Collaborate and work cooperatively with the Offices of Finance and Purchasing and other offices within the District white maintaining the protocols and procedures established by the Deputy Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction. Utilize district financial and management systems, including BusinessPlus, eSchoolPlus, Frontline, and HR Payroll. Utilize the district financial system, BusinessPlus, to run open status reports, detailed expenditure reports, and to export reports to Excel. Ensure that appropriate accounts are being used and sufficient funds are available. Maintain absentee and payroll information for the department. Undertake/complete assignments in an appropriate and timely manner to achieve organizational goals. Value the organization by maintaining a positive working environment, adhering to the district's mission statement, and recognizing and supporting various roles and functions within the District. Perform duties in a professional, ethical, and responsible manner as defined in Board policy and the TEA Code of Ethics for Educators. Serve as a positive role model by exhibiting professional behaviors, relating positively with others, and maintaining an excellent attendance record. Prepare documents, letters, requisitions, and other information as needed. Maintain absentee and payroll information for the Department for Curriculum and Instruction. Assist with the processing of district travel and in-service payments. Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the Senior Director for Teaching and Learning. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
None WORKING CONDITIONS:
Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) Ability to maintain emotional control under stress Ability to make quick effective decisions Ability to perform work while standing and/ or walking for extended periods, up to eight (8) hours a day Ability to see detailed information, naturally or with correction Must have valid Texas driver's license.
