Staff Accountant

We are looking for a dedicated staff accountant to join our team in Englewood, Colorado. Responsibilities:

  • Process and manage accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) transactions with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Prepare and post journal entries to support month-end closing activities.
  • Review and process bank transactions, ensuring proper documentation and reconciliation.
  • Collaborate with team members to streamline financial reporting and accounting tasks.
  • Assist in maintaining the general ledger to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Support corporate tax return preparations and sales tax filings as needed.
  • Monitor and review financial data to identify discrepancies and resolve them promptly.
  • Maintain organized records and documentation to facilitate audits and reporting requirements.
  • Participate in meetings to provide insights and updates on financial operations.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures throughout all accounting processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience with accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
  • Familiarity with dynamics 365 finance & operations is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage high volumes of transactions.
  • Solid understanding of journal entries and general ledger management.
  • Experience with corporate tax returns and sales tax processes is advantageous.
  • Personable and team-oriented, with strong communication skills for effective collaboration.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a hybrid work environment.
