Business Systems Analyst Or Sr. Business Systems Analyst - It Generation

Dominion Energy's IT Generation team is seeking a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) or Sr. Business Systems Analyst with strong analytical skills and attention to detail to provide support for DE's Project Construction Business Unit and the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind (CVOW) project. The successful candidate will be assigned to lead new system implementation projects, provide support for business projects and software system upgrades, and provide maintenance support of existing systems. The ideal candidate will possess an excellent understanding of the BSA skillset and toolset and have a solid understanding of modern computing and communications technologies. The ability to effectively communicate (written, verbal, presentation) with internal business partners, IT personnel, and external service providers is critical to success in this role. The successful candidate will help to develop new and innovative processes to automate and reduce workload and add value to the business areas we support as well as IT. Additionally, the successful candidate will guide and advise less experienced BSAs. Duties include, but are not limited to: Act as a consultant to our internal business partners regarding technology and process solutions. Facilitate finding, developing, and implementing viable technology solutions for our business partners by working with teammates, IT groups within the company, external service providers, and business partners. Provide guidance to our internal business partners by knowing what software systems they have in place and determining what those systems may be capable of going forward. Interface with internal business partners, IT groups, and external service providers to implement new systems, modify existing systems, and provide system maintenance support. Facilitate and lead requirements workshops for large and/or complex projects. Functionally deconstruct, analyze, and document our internal business partners' problems, processes, and needs. Collect requirements (business, functional, technical) and create test cases using structured methodologies. Effectively lead documentation of requirements, test cases, use cases, and design thinking exercises. Provide written and verbal updates on projects and solutions to IT and business management. Develop and deliver training on new or revised system functionality to raise awareness and educate users and support personnel. Provide support for projects and troubleshooting efforts as assigned. Contribute to development of long-range technology plans and strategies. Ensure IT-managed products and services are aligned with business needs. Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelor Preferred Discipline(s): Business, Economics, Information Systems, Technology disciplines, Mathematics, Engineering Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above.
