Job Description
PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Safely and efficiently perform a variety of duties within PBV’s warehouse operations to support both internal and external customers and meet business goals and demands. Duties include pulling, loading, unloading, sorting, staging, stacking, building pallets, wrapping, transporting, counting, performing quality control checks, dumping, rework, replenishing, and handling PBV products, raw materials, packaging, and other warehouse goods and materials.
Responsibilities
- The exact nature of the duties may vary, depending on the facility where the Warehouse Associate is employed.
- Verifies accuracy and quality of products received from vendors/suppliers and shipped to customers.
- Performs all check-in/check-out duties and maintains proper records (Bill of Ladings (BOLs), receivers, pick tickets, and other usual records) for each task according to warehouse SOPs.
- Counts goods returned to the plant by sales and delivery personnel that are damaged, full, or empty.
- Safely and efficiently operates the yard switcher and automatic/straight trucks on premises to and from designated parking areas to bay doors for loading/unloading.
- Interacts with automation systems and screens, voice pick system, paper pick tickets and/or other warehouse management systems to verify and record product, and to build, finish, and verify accuracy of pallets or place product on conveyors in proper order for accurate load outs and inventory counts.
- Identifies machine faults, troubleshoots, corrects system errors/issues and performs basic cleaning and maintenance on automation systems.
- Safely and efficiently operates various warehouse equipment to store, stage, retrieve, replenish, load or unload products in designated areas or onto conveyors/trailers. Equipment may include forklifts, HSPA Claw, walkie-rider pallet jack, wrappers, or other designated equipment.
- Safely and efficiently operates additional warehouse machinery, including floor scrubber, cardboard baler, dock plates, bay doors, or other designated equipment.
- Performs required safety and pre-trip checks on assigned machinery.
- Performs janitorial tasks as necessary to maintain a clean and organized space.
- Adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety guidelines.
- Ensures accuracy and quality of work.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Must be able to pass forklift skills assessment and safely operate PBV Material Handling Equipment.
- At least six (6) months of forklift experience preferred.
- Computer/Human Machine Interface skills.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Good math, reading, writing, and communication skills.
- Sorting and grouping skills.
- Ability to read and understand product labels and load ticket instructions.
- Ability to count large quantities of products and materials.
- Ability to read/hear and understand procedures for performing work.
- Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse with exposure to hot/humid or cold conditions.
Physical & Mental Functions
- Essential mental and physical functions: Repetitive and fast-paced work for prolonged periods requiring frequent mental or visual effort or alertness.
- Physical: Constantly lift up to 50 pounds; occasionally sit, read, climb, reach, kneel, bend, push, crawl, walk, and stand.

- Yard switcher, tractors & trailers, dock plates, bay doors, floor scrubber, walkie-rider, forklift (single and double), palletizer, wrapper, HSPA Claw, cardboard baler, automated conveyors, and related tools.
