Cnc Milling Machine Operator

Milacron is looking for a CNC Milling Machine Operator to join our team in Mt. Orab, OH. As a Mill Operator, you will be responsible for the set-up and operation of machinery to produce a large assortment of metal parts or finishes often of a complex nature. In this role, you will apply knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, and machining procedures to produce quality parts for our plastics processing machinery out of raw material. Schedule: 1st Shift 7am-3pm. Must be ok with overtime when needed. Work You'll Do: Set up and operate the grinding machine according to specifications of the project. Read and interpret blueprints or design schematics to understand the project requirements. Select and install the appropriate tools and equipment needed for the grinding process. Adjust machine settings to control speed, material feed, and path of the cut. Monitoring the machine while it's running to ensure its functioning properly and to prevent errors or malfunctions. Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet specifications. Perform routine maintenance on the machine to ensure its longevity and safety. Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the grinding process. Follow all safety protocols and procedures. Competencies: Strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow technical instructions. Good problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues that arise during the grinding process. Basic Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age now or within a few months. (Overhead Crane operation & 3rdshift). Dependable, honest, quick learner, good communication skills, and team player Ability to work a flexible schedule including any days, shift, and weekends to ensure that the customer demand is met. Basic math Experience with precision tools like Gauges, Calipers, and micrometers Able to read blueprints. Basic computer skills with the ability to perform and interpret computer functions. Preferred Qualifications: High school diploma or GED is preferred. Currently enrolled in technical program such as machining, welding, industrial equipment, or manufacturing engineering. 1+ years of related experience or training: or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to handle and feel, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear. The employee may occasionally be required to crouch. The employee may occasionally lift items as heavy as 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities may include the employee's ability to see near and far distances.
