Facilities Coordinator

The Facilities Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and integrity of a company's physical environment. They take charge of the maintenance and servicing of buildings and grounds, overseeing tasks such as repairs, renovations, and the scheduling of preventative maintenance to preserve the facility's condition. A significant part of the role involves ensuring that the workplace adheres to health and safety standards, thereby providing a secure setting for staff and visitors alike. The Facilities Coordinator orchestrates the logistics of space allocation and modifications, collaborating with vendors, service providers, and contractors to meet the organization's needs. Responsibilities

Oversee and schedule routine maintenance and repairs of the physical workspace, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, and other building systems to ensure operational efficiency and safety. Coordinate with external service providers and contractors for maintenance, landscaping, cleaning, and other services. Manage space allocation and layout, adjusting for changes in staffing or organizational needs. Ensure that the facilities meet government regulations and environmental, health, and security standards. Develop and implement emergency plans, including evacuation routes, safety drills, and business continuity procedures. Respond to emergencies promptly and serve as the point of contact for any facility-related incidents. Maintain an inventory of facility-related assets, supplies, and equipment, ensuring that critical items are in stock and available when needed. Maintain accurate records of all facility operations, including warranty information, service contracts, and records of maintenance and repairs performed. Contribute to providing a comfortable work environment for employees and visitors by addressing issues related to lighting, temperature, and office furnishings. Communicate effectively with employees regarding disruptions to services, changes in facilities, or upcoming maintenance activities. Support efforts to make the facility more sustainable, such as implementing recycling programs or energy-saving measures. Manage or support special projects, such as office renovations, building improvements, or implementation of new technologies or systems. People Management/Relationships

High School Diploma or equivalent education required 2+ years of experience in facilities, maintenance, or a related field Understanding and experience with tools, maintenance equipment, and building systems Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations regarding workplace safety and building compliance. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, and other software products Essential Functions

Regularly required to perform manual tasks, concentrate, think, learn, communicate, sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers, grasp, handle or feel objects, reach with arms, talk and hear Must be able to remain in a stationary position as needed The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office and on site at client locations, stoop, kneel, crouch, push and pull Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer Ability to communicate in a professional manner and exchange information with internal and external actors as needed Ability to lift/carry up to 20 pounds Ability to work outside of normal business hours and weekends as needed Ability to travel to local and non-local clients and events as needed, overnight travel may be required This job description is subject to change at any time and employee will be given additional responsibilities as assigned Salary Range: $20.00 - $28.00
