Overview
Research Data Analyst at UCSF (University of California, San Francisco). This is a limited part-time 37.5% position.
Responsibilities
- Works on research data reporting assignments that are of moderate diversity in scope. Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Gathering, analyzing, and interpreting a wide variety of research data to advance equity-focused healthcare interventions.
- Under supervision, design and conduct research studies, including selecting data samples, developing research instruments, and analyzing collected information using established statistical methods.
- Develop recommendations, prepare reports, charts, tables, and other visual aids to interpret and communicate results, while contributing to peer-reviewed publications and scholarly outputs.
The Incumbent Will Support
- Development and execution of two scoping literature reviews
- Screening ~1300 journal articles and editing the inclusion/exclusion criteria as we reconcile differences
- Interview scheduling, note-taking, and qualitative data management
- Coding and thematic analysis of qualitative data
- Preparation of scholarly outputs (conference abstracts, manuscripts)
- Administrative and research infrastructure support (e.g., IRB submissions, tracking progress)
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on work experience and internal equity. For positions represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $69,000 - $100,200 (Annual Rate).

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training
- Minimum 1 year of related experience
- Working knowledge of research function
- Working skills in statistical analysis, systems programming, database design and data security measures
- Working skills in analysis and consultation
- Skills to communicate complex information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
