Overview
Graphic Designer and Project Coordinator at Walla Walla Community College (WWCC). This is a full-time position located in Walla Walla, WA. Salary range: $4,194.00 - $5,501.00 monthly. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with departments to design and develop visual assets for digital and print platforms, including marketing collateral, branded merchandise, website content, social media content, and promotional materials.
- Ensure brand standards and quality are met; coordinate with outsourced services as needed.
- Manage multiple design requests, communicate progress from concept to completion, and ensure timely delivery and billing as required.
- Oversee the operation, supplies, and equipment of the college print shop to support efficient production.
- Maintain template libraries and assist with development of employee marketing templates and toolkit.
- Provide support for digital marketing campaigns as needed and act as point of contact for digital advertising design; monitor emerging design trends.
Qualifications
- Required: Associate's degree in graphic design or related field or equivalent experience; two years of professional design experience with a portfolio of digital and print work.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign); familiarity with collaboration tools such as SmartSheet preferred.
- Strong visual design fundamentals, layout, typography, color theory, and knowledge of print production concepts (spot colors, bleeds, crop marks, imposition).
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
- Commitment to equity and inclusion and ability to work with diverse groups.
Preferred/Desirable Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Product Design, or related field.
- Familiarity with HTML/CSS, email template design, and print shop finishing techniques (trimming, folding, binding, scoring, perforating, die-cutting).
- Experience with finishing equipment and ability to troubleshoot minor print issues; bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.

Terms of Employment
This classified position is in a bargaining unit (WWPEA Higher Ed). Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 8 hours/day; summer schedule is Monday–Thursday, 10 hours/day. Travel may be local or regional. Work environment is primarily indoors with standard office equipment.
