Overview
Human Resources Coordinator — Multnomah Athletic Club (MAC).
Join the Human Resources team at MAC and play a key role in supporting a dynamic and service-driven workplace. This is a full-time, on-site role at our club in Portland, OR. You will support day-to-day administrative activities across the full spectrum of HR—from recruiting and onboarding to data management and internal communications—and help foster an exceptional employee experience.
What You’ll Do
- Be the First Point of Contact: Support employees and managers by responding to inquiries, providing guidance, and ensuring a positive, confidential, and professional HR experience.
- Support the Employee Lifecycle: Assist with recruitment efforts, schedule interviews, coordinate and execute new hire orientations, and ensure accurate documentation and file maintenance.
- Maintain Accurate Records: Manage data entry, reporting, and updates in the HRIS (Dayforce), keeping sensitive employee data secure and well-organized.
- Drive Communication: Oversee departmental communications through phone, email, Zendesk, and internal messaging, ensuring timely and clear information flow.
- Ensure Compliance: Support compliance-related documentation, file management, and reporting, including audit preparation and record-keeping.
- Help Plan and Execute: Assist with special programs, events, and projects bringing organization, hospitality, and attention to detail to everything you do.
- Collaborate and Contribute: Work closely with the HR team, supporting Benefits and Generalist functions as needed.
What You’ll Bring
- Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field preferred; 2+ years of administrative experience (HR experience is a strong plus).
- Organizational Superpowers: Excellent time management, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
- Professionalism & Discretion: Comfortable handling confidential and sensitive information with care.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication; customer-service mindset.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience with or willingness to learn HRIS systems (Dayforce preferred).
- Team-Oriented Mindset: Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced, people-first environment.
