General responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and inspections on heavy equipment, including forklifts, loaders, and other rolling stock. Conduct diagnostic tests to identify mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems. Repair, rebuild, and replace worn or malfunctioning parts, such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems. Troubleshoot and repair complex hydraulic and electrical issues. Service engine and fuel systems, including modern computerized and electronic control systems. Perform emergency repairs in the field to minimize equipment downtime. Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed. Required skills and qualifications Experience:

Proven experience in diesel engines and hydraulic systems is essential. Experience with heavy rolling stock and forklifts is required. Education/Training:

A high school diploma or GED is the minimum requirement. Technical or vocational training in diesel mechanics or heavy equipment repair is often preferred, but not required. Mechanical Aptitude:

A strong understanding of heavy equipment, engine components, and mechanical systems is necessary. Diagnostic Skills:

Ability to use computerized diagnostic tools to accurately identify complex mechanical problems. Problem-Solving:
