What your day-to-day will look like: Performance of ongoing preventive maintenance and repair work orders encompasses all facility mechanical, electrical, and installed systems to ensure continuous operations and client satisfaction. Comprehensive maintenance responsibilities include HVAC systems, electrical distribution equipment, plumbing systems, building interior and exterior repairs, grounds maintenance, and production equipment for assigned facilities. Thorough familiarity with building automation systems, fire and life safety systems, and other building-related equipment is essential through continuous study and proper operational training. Facility inspections and due diligence efforts require systematic reporting on conditions that impact client occupancy and operations, along with completing necessary hazard assessments for safety compliance. Safety protocol adherence is mandatory, including completing required training, maintaining clean work areas, recognizing hazards, and proposing elimination methods while complying with all local ordinances and codes. Real-time documentation and communication systems must be utilized, including CMMS platforms like Corrigo, daily P-card receipt submission, work order updates, and timely escalation of issues to customers and management. Administrative responsibilities encompass attending required meetings, maintaining equipment logs and readings, tracking time accurately, managing tools and supplies, and ensuring proper storage and disposal of hazardous materials under engineering leadership direction.

Required Qualifications: A high school diploma or state equivalent is required along with Universal EPA/CFC recovery certification as mandatory credentials for this position. Minimum four years of technical building engineering experience is essential, with strong expertise in packaged HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and production equipment repair and maintenance. Comprehensive knowledge of overall system design and applications must be combined with excellent teamwork abilities, strong work ethic, and effective oral and written communication skills. Outstanding customer service skills and interpersonal abilities are crucial for maintaining positive client relationships and professional interactions throughout daily operations. Physical demands include frequent climbing, bending, lifting, kneeling, stooping, and overhead work, along with the ability to work in extreme weather conditions and adverse environments. Specific physical requirements encompass climbing ladders up to 30 feet while carrying a 20-pound tool bag, lifting up to 80 pounds, and working safely from heights with proper safety protocols. Flexible scheduling is mandatory for call-in work, weekend assignments, after-hours support, and holiday coverage, while maintaining working knowledge of applicable building codes including NFPA and fuel/building regulations.

Preferred Qualifications: Familiar with computer equipment and programs. Knowledge of OSHA standards and local codes. Prior knowledge of working within a Data Center environment is a plus. Two years of trades school or documented apprenticeship in electrical systems, refrigeration and HVAC, plumbing or other craft skills, preferred. Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel Experience at government facilities Secret Clearance or the ability to attain one through JLL.

Location: Onsite Huntsville, AL Work Shift: 8 hour shift chosen between the hours of 6am-4:30pm Salary/ Comp: $63,500-68,500
