Position Summary:

The Equipment Operator is a key driver of our success in our Wisconsin Terminal. The Equipment Operator utilizes forklifts with capacities up to 35,000lbs to load 48' stepdeck trailers to maximum capacity by weight and volume. This is a dynamic role which requires high stress-tolerance, interpersonal skill, collaboration, and ability to make decisions due to changing priorities.

Job Responsibilities:

Loading and Unloading freight on 48' stepdeck trailers

Operate Forklifts with capacities up to 35,000lbs

Operate all yard equipment safely and efficiently

Assist with freight securement including chaining, strapping, and tarping of freight

Assist in spotting, bracing, and blocking of freight

Lead the 2nd shift yard loading process

Participate in daily pre-shift operations meetings

Requirements:

2 years of forklift experience (required)

High School Diploma (required)

Heavy Equipment experience (preferred)

Previous supervisory experience (preferred)

Previous rigging experience (preferred)

Previous experience in the trucking industry (preferred)

Strong measurement and math skills

Able to lift and carry up to 130 lbs

Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions

This is a full-time, 2nd shift, hourly position and you must be available 50+ hours per week. The Equipment Operator often works 6 days per week based on business need.

Candidate must pass a pre-employment background check and physical.
