Immediate or negotiable About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate
Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Specialist
to join our team remotely. This role supports students and/or clients across New Mexico by providing specialized services tailored to the needs of individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing. As a fully remote DHH Specialist, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families to ensure accessible learning and communication experiences. This position allows you to work from home while making a meaningful impact on individuals across the state. Key Responsibilities: Provide virtual DHH services to students or clients in compliance with IEPs or individualized service plans
Conduct assessments and evaluations to support communication and educational needs
Collaborate with educators, interpreters, therapists, and families
Support inclusion and access to educational materials and activities
Document and report on progress and outcomes
Qualifications: Valid DHH Certification (State of NM or eligible for reciprocity)
Masters Degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or a related field
Experience with virtual service delivery preferred
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Familiarity with assistive technology and captioning tools is a plus
