Responsibilities
Accountable for the planning, managing, supporting and monitoring of enterprise imaging systems and related projects for The Queen’s Health System (QHS). Responsible for leading cross functional teams to identify operational needs, implement industry best practices, facilitation of prioritization, and bridging the gap between operational needs and technical delivery. Responsible and accountable for imaging solution delivery, including analysis functions, technical implementation, successful completion and user acceptance of the enterprise imaging solutions and related technologies. Partners with administration and operational managers to improve the quality and value of business and clinical processes through the utilization of information technology (IT) solutions. Provides leadership to drive effective and efficient delivery of products and services. Responsible for the technical implementation, successful completion and client acceptance of the technical solutions that support the business information systems.
Typical Physical Demands
Required: finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking. Frequent: sitting, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods, walking. Occasional: standing, stooping/bending, climbing stairs, walking on uneven ground, lifting and carrying usual weight of 1 pound up to 5 pounds, reaching above, at and below shoulder level, frequent gripping of an object.
Typical Working Conditions
Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
Minimum Qualifications
A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management, healthcare or related field; or four (4) years progressive experience in planning, managing, supporting and/or monitoring of Information Technology or Enterprise Imaging Systems may be substituted for the educational requirement. Master’s degree preferred. B. EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years experience planning, implementing and/or supporting enterprise imaging systems, including system and workflow analysis, integration, and technical delivery, preferably in an acute care facility or integrated healthcare delivery system environment. Five (5) years healthcare experience. Two (2) years supervisory/leadership experience. Four (4) years experience implementing enterprise imaging systems preferred. Four (4) years experience in project management preferred. Experience to demonstrate organizational change management and process improvement training/experience preferred.
